I Spent the Day with Romeo

Yesterday I had a guest for the day.  His name was Romeo.

Yes. Romeo. 

Since it’s February, well darn, anytime of the year, it brings to mind romance.  

Now this Romeo was not just any Romeo.  He was a Romeo in MY house.

The Race Goes On

I never have been much of a person to follow politics in-depth.  

Oh, I’ve always given it it’s due respect.  I very seldom miss voting and I am fairly knowledgeable on issues when it comes to being ready to vote responsibly.  I’ve also always encouraged my son to be responsible about voting as well. 

I’ll never forget the time we took our son to vote when he was five.  My husband carried him in the booth with him to let Pierce experience the process.  He held him in his arms as he voted and the little voice said quite loudly and inquisitively…”You voted for him…why?”

A Chocoholic’s Dream

My son called to say hello last night.  He was in Brooklyn, NY with friends after working diligently all week long on a project he just started with two very talented architects. 

“Mom!”  He said.  “ I’m in a shop you would LOVE. It’s a chocolate shop and it’s really great!”


He sent me the link to http://thechocolateroombrooklyn.com and I looked it up.  It was quite a nice looking little shop with tasty treats that made my mouth water just looking at them.  I guess, while he is up there working, I will have to go visit and try it out.
