Charleston County has had a few rough weeks at school. Over 3500 students did not report to school the first week or so. I suspect other School District may have had the same kind of start.There are no easy answers. Read the rest of this entry »

Five weeks ago I got an e-mail that a friend’s mother died. She had lived a full life and would be missed by many. She had a positive impact on others and her goodness would be remembered well beyond her passing.Â

It’s been years since I went to the city of Charlotte, NC. A friend invited me to go with him to see Lion King at the Blumenthal Theatre downtown. He got the tickets months ago, the day they went on sale.

I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this before, but I often nickname events with some funny little name that causes me to remember the activity. Not that I need a name to remember when I have a good time, but remembering the name can bring a smile to my face when I recall it.
