Why are YOU Here?

Many of us – at least those around here – live our lives in relative peace.  We have enough food, a nice enough home, a car or some other reliable means of transportation,  we don’t worry too much about our safety and walk about life daily in relative security, and we are …  well … just blessed.  

Often, the only thing we worry about day in and day out is when something didn’t go our way or we had a disagreement with our loved ones.  

Yep …  truly blessed … I’d say – considering the world situations we see and hear about these days.  

So think, for just a moment, why are we really here?

A Mediterranean Holiday Falafel Meal

I love Mediterranean food.  One of my favorite foods is Falafel.  I like it so much I learned how to cook it at home.  Many years ago I made it fairly frequently but, as time passed, I left it in the recipe book and time ran away with me … so no falafel.  

 A friend and I went to a Lebanese restaurant – Ellie’s – earlier this week and  I was reminded what great falafel was like.

The Blessings of Parenthood

Every once in a while I visit her website.  She is a young woman by my standards.  She and her husband found out they could not have children so they began the process of adoption.  She started her blog – www.flossiemae.blogspot.com – “Waiting Child” – to share her family’s journey into adoption and the struggles and pleasures of the process.  

At the end of their adoption trail – or should I say at the beginning – they found a precious little boy.
