Climb Every Mountain

I love the Sound of Music.  The Von Trapp family and the love plot are just my kind of diversion from everyday life. I particularly like the idea that they travel far and cross all kinds of mountains to get to a better place.

Being #1

Everyone likes to win.  Some set goals to be the top in everything they do.  Others have a specialty area they strive to be #1 in.  Others don’t really care but, if it happens, they are happy.  Some seek out those who are known for being number one when they need something special.

Who Knew?

Here I am, sitting up in a wheelchair after weeks of lying in bed unable to lay on my back and being moved by nursing staff from side to side.

Who knew I would ever have to do this?   Who knew I would ever have to learn to walk again? Can you even imagine what it is like not to know how to get your body to walk?

I have some remarkable therapists who have started working with me on this.  It is very slow going and more painstaking than I would have thought.  However, no pain no gain. Pierce is even learning the techniques to help me get up and down from bed to chair to bed.

I can say that my typing skills have slowed.  I have been working with a therapeutic form of silly putty to build my muscles in my hands.

Thanks for all the well wishes. It certainly brightens my day.

My wish for you today is that you thank God each day for your good health and well being and that you support others through small kindnesses who may not be as fortunate as you are.
