Reflections From a Country Girl

Montgomery Gentry sings a song called “A Lucky Man” in which he talks about all his good fortune. It’s often hard to concentrate on how lucky you are when little irritations set in and get the best of you.

Remember that lively song and dance “Do the Bunny Hop?” I was out walking early this morning. It was Sunday and I knew I was the first on the path when I started seeing bunny rabbits all over the place instead of people and dogs.

Have you seen the show “The Next Best Thing?” This reality based television show has impersonators of famous people competing for “the prize.” Most of them are exceptional actors and actresses who “become” the famous person of their choice. I like the show, but I wonder if in reality that is such a good idea?

I had late night visitors last night. Actually, they came by around 8:30 p.m. and left after midnight.

How long has it been since you had a backrub? When I was a young child my mother asked me to rub her back. She had asthma pretty bad and, she said, it helped ease the pain and breathe better. I learned how to do it just the right way for her.
