I Could Have Danced (or Talked) all Night
I had late night visitors last night. Actually, they came by around 8:30 p.m. and left after midnight. We could have talked longer but they had appointments early the next morning and I scheduled an early morning walk at seven a.m.
Kathy, one of the two visitors, is a friend who sang in choir at a church I attended. I keep in touch with her on and off through e-mail. Greg was the choir director at that church. He moved to another city and is back to visit.
It was great to see Greg. He’s always the same level headed guy who is just trying to find his next path down the road of life. He’s matured well and still has a zest for life that hasn’t seemed to let up.
It’s always good to see friends you haven’t seen for awhile. It’s been a little over a year now since we last caught up. He’s moved from one part of the country to another.
When you recall what has happened over a year’s time, it’s amazing to think about all you have accomplished. I suspect, if you took a look on a monthly basis, it would be amazing to recall what has actually happened over that period of time.
It was great to hear what Greg had been doing and he seemed to appreciate all the things I’ve been involved in.
My wish for you today is that you take the opportunity to visit with friends you haven’t seen in awhile. Do your share of talking, but make sure you listen, too. You may be amazed what has happened with them, and it will also be an opportunity to recall all the things that have happened with you. Be thankful for both and find the blessings in each.
