A Lucky Man
Montgomery Gentry sings a song called “A Lucky Man†in which he talks about all his good fortune.
It’s often hard to concentrate on how lucky you are when little irritations set in and get the best of you.
I saw the Harry Potter movie late last night and was reminded of that. He struggles with the good and bad in his life as he has grown a bit older and wiser. As we all know, he is not a bad guy, but there are things he struggles with in this movie that remind us just how human he is. Take it a step further and you are reminded just how human you are from the things you see in that movie.
Yes, we are all imperfect. We all have shortcomings. We all have struggles. If anyone tells you they don’t, they are lying.
So the song “A Lucky Man†chooses to concentrate on just how lucky he is and to have good relationships to help him along.
My wish for you today is that you remind yourself, particularly when you find yourself questioning your very being, that you are really pretty blessed to be who you are…even with your imperfections. Learn from your weaknesses and build on your strengths. Be humble about who and what you are and you are bound to continue to grow into the person you are destined to become.
