Do you remember the 2002 movie – Bar Hopping – that Steven Cohen directed and Tom Arnold and others starred in?  Are you a bar hopper?  I wouldn’t say I’m much of a one…at least I wouldn’t have said that until I retired.

The Lucky One

Faith Hill sings a country song called The Lucky One.  In it she talks about the things in life that are rough – no air conditioning, not being as far along as she would like to be at age 27, not enough money for a even a bus ticket, no cable tv, but she is still “the lucky one” cause she has that special someone in her life.”

I’ve thought about those lyrics the last few months.  

There’s lots of reasons we should consider ourselves the lucky ones.

What is so Great About Possum Trot, Anyway?

It had been six hours since I got into my car on the way to Tennessee. I heard about Possum Trot for years but had never taken the opportunity to visit. My man and I decided we would head to the hills to find out what it was all about.

Buford: A Man’s Best Friend

My Favorite Truck

I love trucks. 

When I was in Newtown, Pennsylvania on my way back from New York City last week, the friends we were visiting had just purchased a truck off the internet.  It was a very old truck.
