My Favorite Truck
I love trucks.Â
When I was in Newtown, Pennsylvania on my way back from New York City last week, the friends we were visiting had just purchased a truck off the internet. It was a very old truck. Â
We decided to go to see Iron Man and I offered to drive my car. It didn’t take me long to agree to ride in the truck when she offered to take us. We all piled in and headed down the road. Â
One thing about old trucks is that they have plenty of seat space for three or four in the cab…even with the stick shift. That gives you plenty of together time. Â
Recently my friend, George, asked if I would be willing to go to the 12th Annual Palmetto Central Chapter Truck Show in Lexington. I agreed as soon as I heard there were trucks involved. He wanted me to interview the owners of the vehicles and find out how they came to own the vehicles, how long they had them, how much they paid for them, etc. He is planning on making a booklet with all this information for the show next year. Â
I had a ball interviewing everyone. Some only had one vehicle while others had as many as ten. It was obvious they were passionate about their vehicles.  Most of the owners drove them or used them for work. Some even entered them in truck show competitions and had won hundreds of prizes. Â
All of them had a story to tell.Â
I’m working on the stories right now and making sure the pictures correspond. It was a good day and I met some new and interesting people. I even had a chance to share a few stories of my own with them. Â
My wish for you today is that you find something to be passionate about in life. Whatever it is, embrace it to the fullest and you, too, will have stories to tell.Â
