Next to Normal

On Broadway there is a  play called “Next to Normal.”  It’s a musical on how suburban households cope with crisis and how hard parents try to keep families intact. 

I thought to myself when I saw this, what is a “normal” family anyway?

There is an off Broadway play right now called “Line.”  The jist of the play is that people are standing in a long line and they realize that they don’t know why or even where they are going.

One Day at a Time…

For baby boomers and beyond one remembers Kris Kristofferson and Marijohn Wilkins who wrote One Day at a Time, Sweet Jesus.  

I was reminded of this song when talking with my sister the other day.  It’s been recorded by MANY people but the words have stayed the same.

Pierce Update #12 (and mail update)

Hello!

Most of you know that since my last update in July, Mom was able to get out of the hospital and continue her treatment as an outpatient. Over that time things have largely been well and progressing positively. While out she has gotten two rounds of lighter chemotherapy with the goal of reducing her “blasts” to receive the bone marrow transplant. Read the rest of this entry »
