It’s been interesting around my place the last few days. My PDA crashed and I lost not only all my calendar but my address book was compromised as well. That, on top of needing a new computer quickly, has made me think about whether I wanted a Microsoft based computer or a MAC.
On Friday afternoon I was faced with a decision.
It was really a no brainer for me.
We hear many parents say that it’s the schools job to teach children. I’m not really sure where parents are coming from when they say that. It may be said out of frustration…out of anger…out of the lack of feeling a parent has the any ability to help their children succeed…out of remembering how difficult it was for them as a child. I’m just not sure.
There are a multitude of things a parent can do to assure their child gets the best education possible. One of those ingredients is so often left out of the equation.
I haven’t seen my brother in almost two years. I used to know where he lived but it’s been just about as long since I knew that. I have a phone number for him but he never answers it. It’s not his voice on the other end, so I’m not even sure if it is his phone I call and leave a message on.
In cowboy terms my brother is a drifter.
