Merry Ho Ho

It’s all happening. No matter how concealed the reasons may be, we keep looking for them.

In the last two days we have twice thought we were coming home, and twice had to confront the decision to stay. The most recent decision to stay, coming less than nine hours before her would be flight home, was our own to make.

After reflecting for most of the day, imagine our collective surprise to find that deciding to sit tight lifted what seemed a colossal burden from our shoulders.

Regardless of the two nonrefundable tickets, the anticipation of being home again, and the excitement of friends and family visiting from all over, we ask that you celebrate this holiday season with us in spirit, as Mom and I decidedly make the effort to continue her fight in Houston. We have no doubt she will return home in due time, and that the best methods based on her current condition reside with the Doctors that have ushered us this far.

We’ll be home for Christmas, here, and in our dreams.Thank you all for your continued support and love.

Happy Holidays (or as I tell my friends, Merry HoHo)
