Reflections From a Country Girl

I was excited about going back to South Carolina.  Like Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz “there’s no place like home.”

Things have not worked out as planned.  I am back in the hospital in Houston and will not make my flight at 10 today.  Not sure if it will work out later or not.  There are lots of complications – one significant one being that no transfusion unit is open on holidays or weekends.  Therefore, if I even got home I would be in the hospital more than at home. 

Bah Humbug?  No use…just taking it in stride and looking forward to spending Christmas with Pierce at the hospital or at the place we stay nearby.  

My wish for you today is that you appreciate your time with family – even though they could drive you crazy sometimes.  Appreciate them and have a wonderful and blessed Christmas no matter where you are.
