Reflections From a Country Girl

Hello all,

 

Just wanted to provide a brief update.

 

The biggest news is that she finished chemotherapy early Sunday morning. Now continues the period of her blood counts getting lower so that they can rebuild themselves healthily.

 She is still very short of breath from the fluids and pneumonia, but the staff is doing a good job of maintaining this. She does currently have an oxygen mask on, as her O2 levels are too low without it. This will of eventually even out so that she can breath well on her own again.

Regardless of all of this, she is doing a good job of remaining positive in the face of her weak physical state. We have had a few friends from in and out of town stop in, some new and some old, which has been wonderful.
