Reflections From a Country Girl

Over the past few days it’s been rainy and dreary here.  My lawn loves that kind of weather since it is a moss based yard.  It has such a lush green look right now that I almost hate for the sun to pop out from behind the clouds.  

However, like most of us, the returning sunshine brings a sense of renewal and joy…especially when it is accompanied by tulips, daffodils, and other delightful flowers.  Today is no different when it comes to that.  It’s turned out to be a lovely day. 

I suspect that a sunny day with great temps and a gentle breeze makes us all feel a bit better.   I’ve been inside all day preparing my tax papers for a meeting later today…my first outing since being in the hospital awhile and getting readjusted to being home and new meds.   

I can’t wait to get going later and breathe in the fresh air.  I have to admit I stuck my head out the door several times lately to take a quick breath of air.  It seems one often feels better when taking some deep breaths of a cool and gentle breeze. 

So as I looked out the door this morning, I saw the promise of a new day…a new beginning.  That can be an encouragement to all of us.  To look at each day as a new adventure. 

My wish for you today is that you start each day as a new adventure.  You can’t do much about what has happened in the past, but you can sure do something about the day ahead of you.  Maybe you will find it lovely!
