Window to the World

I’m looking up at the stars before dawn.  Just woke up and realized that I could stare – almost straight up – at the sky and see the constellations clearly.

It was late last night when I went to bed and I went straight to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I failed to look out at the two huge windows on one side of the room that had a clear view of rolling green lawns, lush trees, and a clear sky.

I am in Spartanburg visiting friends in their new home. I came early to get ready for an important meeting in Greenville later today.

I’m in a transition in my life – like we all find ourselves in from time to time – and spending more time these days focusing on my surroundings and me again.  I had lost some touch with those things lately and am so glad to be re-energizing and channeling my energies more positively.

As I transition, I reflect on how I got to where I was, what I want to avoid doing again, and where my hopes and dreams lie.  I am focusing on taking better care of myself both emotionally and physically.

It’s a good time of year to do this.  The leaves are getting ready to change, the air is cooler – at least in the morning, fall is upon us and the promise of cold weather is not far behind. My favorite time of year is fast approaching.

My wish for you today is that you take the time to look around wherever you are and be grateful for what you have as you look out of the windows of your life!
