I Can’t Get No Satisfaction
Last night eight of us got together for an evening of fun and fellowship.
That means different things for different folks. For us it meant gathering for a light dinner at someone’s home and spending the rest of the time talking and making jewelry.
I got there early to set up the beads and talk with the hostess. She was a delight and I knew it was going to be a great evening.
As things progressed during those four hours there were various degrees of stress…but particularly for one of the ladies.
You see, she just could not get the beads in a design she liked. She had picked out a stunning centerpiece for her necklace but just could not find the other beads to compliment it. Some of us tried helping but that didn’t work either.
While I am one of those who gets the design early on when doing this, this lady just could not be satisfied with her choices.
As the evening was coming to a close, I thought of a Rolling Stones song…I Can’t Get No Satisfaction. After all, there are just some times in life when, no matter what you do, things don’t come out right.
This would be one of those times for our friend last night.
My wish for you today is that you realize and prepare for those times in life when things just won’t turn out right. Plan to embrace it with as carefree an attitude as possible … realizing things will be better another day.
