Sold!
I LOVE to go to auctions.
There’s this song by John Michael Montgomery called “Sold†in which he talks about the auction house he goes to one evening.
Seems he sees this lady that he is smitten with and before you know it, he meets her, courts her, and she is “sold†on him and he on her.
Isn’t that just too cute?!
The song goes on to say they laugh about that day they met…and they are still happy as they were that first day at the auction house. Who would have thought you could meet the man or woman of your dreams at an auction house?
I’m a romantic at heart so a good love story is fun for me. In reality, it takes a lot to say you’re sold on someone permanently, though.
I think of the good man I was sold on years ago and married. He wasn’t perfect but neither was I. He was, however, a great guy and our marriage was strong and – in many ways – enjoyable.
I think of the man I enjoy spending time with now and I see many good qualities in him, and thank goodness he sees many in me.
Fact is, there are many good single men out there that are willing and ready to be sold on a good woman…if their paths could just cross. I’m all for helping them find just the right one and hope they do just that if it is really a good woman they are looking to be “sold†on.
My wish for you today is that, if you are single and wanting a “sold†sign hanging around your heart, that you put yourself out there and see what you come up with. Hanging close to home may not be the best place to make that happen. Be open to new experiences and take a chance. You might just be sold before you know it!Â
