High Maintenance Woman

Toby Keith has a cute new song about high maintenance women. He’s a maintenance man watching all the hot women who go out and party at his complex…say’s he’s looking for a good woman like them…claims they think he’s not good enough for them because he just fixes things…though he sure would like to show them how good he really is.

So what about you, ladies? Are you high maintenance women?

My son says I am and I’ll not deny it.

When we go out and eat, he says it takes me longer than everyone else together at the table to order. I can’t eat this, don’t want that, would like to substitute something else…etc.

Quite frankly, I think I’m just a woman who knows what she wants and isn’t scared to ask for it.

He laughs right along with me when I say that.

Then there are the comments about me taking way too many clothes when I go traveling. This comment comes from my son, my boyfriend…there again…it’s a pattern…the guys say something…the women do not.

The ladies understand that you have to be prepared for all the possibilities when you travel. Heaven help us if we forget the right shoes or bag to go with the outfit for both casual and that “just in case” evening out.

Being prepared is what it’s all about…right ladies?

So when I pack five pairs of shoes for a three day weekend and have at least 15 pieces of clothes, the jewelry to go with it, and the purse and shoes that match, I get “the stare”…to which I promptly glare back…with a smile of course!

Come to think of it, I’ve heard several songs about high maintenance women…all sung by those cute male singers – mostly cowboys – many of whom SAY they prefer their women in blue jean. Never mind that these are the same men who stare at women who are dressed in cute little evening dresses. Fact of the matter is, those women ALSO probably take LOTS of clothes right along with the rest of their things, too.

Isn’t life interesting. I’ve got to go pack for my weekend trip now. This time I’m going camping so I might just pack a little lighter considering the entertainment is rafting, campfires and a possible bear or two in the West Virginia Mountains.

My wish for you today is that you enjoy life and that you are always prepared for the unexpected.
