Reflections From a Country Girl

Never in a million years did I believe I would be saying this.  

I suspected I would be in Houston for another four or five months.  However, things change, treatment works or not, new studies offer new opportunities, and the doctors have said I should/could go home for treatments in the next week and come back for a checkup in a month.  

I have faith in their judgement and so, we are headed home.  I am not sure which day, but it will likely be sometime next week.

I’ll be home for Christmas will take on a whole new meaning now.  My house flooded while I was gone and the construction folks are almost finished.  I will likely, however, be staying with my sister in law and her husband for a few days while they complete the house.  I hear it looks like a different place since they totally had to redo the first floor. 

My wish for you today is that you are home for Christmas and that it is a time of joy and renewal. Merry Christmas!
