For baby boomers and beyond one remembers Kris Kristofferson and Marijohn Wilkins who wrote One Day at a Time, Sweet Jesus. \u00c2\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I was reminded of this song when talking with my sister the other day.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been recorded by MANY people but the words have stayed the same. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The words are powerful and – for me – more meaningful than ever.\u00c2\u00a0 I quote some if them here….<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m only human, I’m just a woman.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Help me believe in what I could be\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And all that I am.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lord for my sake, teach me to take\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am finding a new meaning to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153one day at a time.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00c2\u00a0 Wednesday I get out in the real world again…and come back for daily antibiotics, platelets, etc.\u00c2\u00a0 I will be taking it one day at a time as I work with the doctors on my next phase of treatment. I am hopeful and encouraged, yet mindful that I have to be thankful for the days, hours, minutes I have.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

My wish for you today <\/em><\/strong>is that you not take your days here for granted and seek to find that place in yourself where you are thankful for each moment.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
