I love to go to yard sales.\u00c2\u00a0 There is always something I find as someone\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s trash that turns into my treasure. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I miss that, and so when I heard about the October 24th yard sale below I found myself wishing I would be able to be there, especially since it is in a familiar place that I know well and Corley Mill Road – as it was last time I saw it in February – is one of the loveliest roads to drive on in the Columbia\/Lexington area. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The people having this yard sale are friends and, I found out, that they are doing this in my honor to help out with expenses that are mounting and not covered by insurance.\u00c2\u00a0 They asked if I would put this info on the website and send it to friends and so, I am doing that in case you have something you want to donate for sale OR in case you want to be part of the party…and believe me, it will be a party as they will have fun doing it.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These are some good people and their kindness in doing this is much appreciated.\u00c2\u00a0 That they would take the time to do this is amazing and we are so grateful.\u00c2\u00a0 I just wish I could be there to go through some of those treasures myself and join in on the fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153As many of you know, Joellen Cook, is at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX undergoing treatment for a rare form of leukemia.\u00c2\u00a0 Her son, Pierce, is there with her helping care for her.\u00c2\u00a0 Her expenses are growing and a group of\u00c2\u00a0us friends are hosting a yard sale on Saturday, October 24th at Bowers Nursery on Corley Mill Road.\u00c2\u00a0 If you have items to donate, please feel free to bring them by the Nursery and leave them on the front porch of the house and let George Cannon know they are there or contact me.\u00c2\u00a0 His number is 606-0032\u00c2\u00a0or my numbers are below.\u00c2\u00a0 If you are available to help price items or help the day of the sale, let me or George know.\u00c2\u00a0 All items and help would be greatly appreciated. Not to mention spread the word to your friends who like yard sales!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We appreciate Hal & Gina agreeing to help host the sale and\u00c2\u00a0we’ll need help in promoting the yard sale as well.\u00c2\u00a0 This means a great deal to Pierce and Joellen.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n
