Everyone likes to win.\u00c2\u00a0 Some set goals to be the top in everything they do.\u00c2\u00a0 Others have a specialty area they strive to be #1 in.\u00c2\u00a0 Others don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t really care but, if it happens, they are happy.\u00c2\u00a0 Some seek out those who are known for being number one when they need something special.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This is the case with me. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

When I found out I had some serious medical issues I started looking for #1.\u00c2\u00a0 Oh, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not to say that there weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t some good options locally, but my husband had died of the same thing 23 years ago and I knew a great deal had changed since then.\u00c2\u00a0 I was looking for the cutting edge of the treatment options. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been at M D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston since May 18th.\u00c2\u00a0 They were just ranked #1 again for cancer treatment in the country.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I have been amazed with my treatment and the way they have taken some serious complications and treated them effectively.\u00c2\u00a0 I am grateful for the fantastic staff…and I mean fantastic.\u00c2\u00a0 They are positive, knowledgeable, energetic and enthusiastic … everything you need when you are dealing with a critical illness. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I do have a long road ahead of me if I am able to reach back to better health. \u00c2\u00a0 I also know that I will be ok one way or the other and I take comfort in that.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Being #1 isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t so bad.\u00c2\u00a0 You don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have to be that, but it can mean a great deal when talking about medical treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you strive to be as healthy as possible and that, if it is not always the way you are, you look for #1 to help you out. \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
