They named her Cotton.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; min-height: 16px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">They decided to pursue getting her when they saw an ad in the pet section of the newspaper saying that she had a &#8220;sweet disposition.&#8221; \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; min-height: 16px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">She did have that sweet disposition and her\u00c2\u00a0owners came to love and adore her as a family member.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00e2\u20ac\u0153She was smart, feisty, and courageous, too.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Kevin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s wife, Carol, said. \u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0The owner before couldn&#8217;t keep her because he traveled too much. \u00c2\u00a0When he brought her to their house to show her to them, Kevin took her into the backyard. \u00c2\u00a0Cotton ran around &#8211; loving that big yard. \u00c2\u00a0When she found the stream and ran through it, Kevin saw a spark of joy in her eyes that made him know that she was the dog for us. \u00c2\u00a0She was ten months old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; min-height: 16px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Through the next 18 years Cotton was one Carol and Kevin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s family.\u00c2\u00a0 After declining health she died yesterday &#8211; some 18 years later. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; min-height: 16px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">A long time ago, Carol told Cotton, &#8220;You bring me so much happiness, and one day you will break my heart.&#8221; \u00c2\u00a0Yesterday was that day. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; min-height: 16px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Carol and Kevin know their lives were better because Cotton was and always will be part of them.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m just as sure that her life was good because of the love and care of her loving owners. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; min-height: 16px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><strong>My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you experience the love of a four legged friend sometime in your life.\u00c2\u00a0 Your life will be richer for it. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; min-height: 16px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 14px\/normal 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">~Joellen<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I met her 18 years ago.\u00c2\u00a0 She was a beautiful little white fur ball who was dedicated to her owners.
