margin: 0px\">I got here to Houston yesterday and started getting sick as soon I got off the plane.\u00c2\u00a0 By five o\u00e2\u20ac\u2122clock Monday I was in the hospital with chest pains and a promise to stay all night long for blood transfusions.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">It was a long night.\u00c2\u00a0 Three transfusions and I got to the doctor a half hour late the next morning.\u00c2\u00a0 However, she had to transfer me to a leukemia doctor as the blood tests indicated that I needed a different doctor.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><!--more--><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">After many a test and a quick rest in the bed in the leukemia center, I got the news that my treatment was going to be a month of intense chemotherapy that starts immediately.\u00c2\u00a0 It must be done here in the hopes it takes the leukemia into remission so I can get healthier to do the bone marrow transplant.\u00c2\u00a0 My family members are on alert to receive a bone marrow donor package they must complete immediately to see if they area\u00c2\u00a0 match.\u00c2\u00a0 The doctors here are insistent my family be the only ones to do that at this point. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">I am now waiting to get admitted into a room where I will be in isolation for a month.\u00c2\u00a0 They also promise a followup of a week chemo after that. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">I am relieved to know I start treatment.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been told I have more pneumonia and am running a fever.\u00c2\u00a0 They are starting treatment for that immediately. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">This is the latest update.\u00c2\u00a0 I am relieved to be among so many good doctors, nurses and staff.\u00c2\u00a0 I am ready to start this adventure and Pierce is right here with me.\u00c2\u00a0 Thanks, too, for all your support and prayers. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica;
