It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 6:00 p.m. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I have charged my phone twice today.\u00c2\u00a0 The calls have been nonstop. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I put out the word this morning that I was in need of a non commercial flight since the doctors in Houston said I would fare better not being on a commercial flight. \u00c2\u00a0 They said my immune system was down and any chance of infection would not be good for me. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Many calls and e-mails have come in.\u00c2\u00a0 As of 6:00 I have not been able to find a flight. Short notice seems the most obvious reason.\u00c2\u00a0 I did have one person say they would charge $6,500 for a one way trip.\u00c2\u00a0 Most of us would not be able to manage that and I am one of those. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I do have a backup plan to drive the 15 hour plus trip there on Sunday and Monday.\u00c2\u00a0 That is a long trip but we could make the best of it, that is, if I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have the nausea I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been having from the medicine or the other medicine induced side effects. \u00c2\u00a0 Tomorrow we take the car to our faithful mechanics to make sure it is travel worthy as possible. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I stopped counting the e-mails at 50. Most of the calls I have not been able to answer.\u00c2\u00a0 Family from Wales and England have rang me today.\u00c2\u00a0 Caring friends stopped by to wish me well. People I did not know offered to be bone marrow donors or have donor drives for me if I needed that.\u00c2\u00a0 Others sent me touching songs\/videos filled with hope and caring thoughts and prayers.\u00c2\u00a0 Even others loaned expensive camera equipment to my son so he and friends could record us for a video he wanted to make of me\/us before I go to Houston. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

It has been overwhelming.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been touching.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been comforting.\u00c2\u00a0 Comforting to see the care of love of many people who don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even know me offer to take the time to donate bone marrow or go for tests to see if they would be a match for me. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

My doctor said good things about my numbers today.\u00c2\u00a0 The counts are on the rise and that is where we want them to continue to go.\u00c2\u00a0 I did not need more shots today so, hopefully, the side effects will become less noticeable. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you never have to deal with these kind if issues.\u00c2\u00a0 However, if you should find yourself, your loved ones, or even a stranger in need, that you act positively to be a kind force in their time of need. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
