{"id":570,"date":"2008-10-18T05:03:01","date_gmt":"2008-10-18T09:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=570"},"modified":"2008-10-18T05:04:01","modified_gmt":"2008-10-18T09:04:01","slug":"one-mans-weed-is-another-mans-flower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=570","title":{"rendered":"One Man&#8217;s Weed is Another Man&#8217;s Flower"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been watching this lovely plant growing and growing in my little area beside the back door.\u00c2\u00a0 I thought it was a sunflower and have been anxiously awaiting it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s flowers that were so beautiful last year.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">As the fall approached I realized it was not going to bloom into a lovely sunflower.\u00c2\u00a0 Now, I was not even sure it was one.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Within the past few days, white flowers have started blooming on that plant. They are lovely little delicate blossoms and I have been enjoying them through my kitchen window.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Meanwhile, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been noticing the weeds and bushes are growing around my mailbox out front so I decided to get the trimmer and cut some of them down.\u00c2\u00a0 Most of the time I am carefully going to the mailbox after dark and didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want a spider or other little varmint to grab hold of me when I brush the bushes away while getting my mail.\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Low and behold, there, in the midst of the bushes, were many of the same little white flowers that greet me at the back door these days.\u00c2\u00a0 I suppose that means the flowers at the back door are really weeds &#8230; yes, weeds!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">I have not pulled that \u00e2\u20ac\u0153weed\u00e2\u20ac\u009d at my back door.\u00c2\u00a0 I did, however, cut the other ones down at the mailbox. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">As I pondered these flowers at both locations, I decided that one man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s weed is another man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s flower.\u00c2\u00a0 After all, if you think about it, some of the most lovely flowers that come in vases delivered to your door really are nothing but weeds.\u00c2\u00a0 My favorites are the beautiful little purple flowers in the spring and the Queen Anne\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Lace that is so easy to brighten up in almost any color by adding food coloring to the water. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">My flowers at the back door are weeds.\u00c2\u00a0 So what.\u00c2\u00a0 I like them anyway and that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s ok.\u00c2\u00a0 I just hope the yard man doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t see it and, being a wiser person than me about flowers, pulls it because he knows it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a weed!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; min-height: 14px; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica; margin: 0px\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"><strong><em>My wish for you today<\/em><\/strong> is that you enjoy flowers wherever they are and whenever you can.\u00c2\u00a0 Hopefully, you will be the recipient of flowers many times in your life&#8230;.be it weed or otherwise!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font: normal normal normal 12px\/normal Helvetica;
