It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been interesting around my place the last few days. My PDA crashed and I lost not only all my calendar but my address book was compromised as well. That, on top of needing a new computer quickly, has made me think about whether I wanted a Microsoft based computer or a MAC. <\/p>\n
Friends of mine have said over these last few years, get a MAC and you will never want anything else again. <\/p>\n
Now I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m 56 and getting somewhat set in my ways. Change happens all the time, but when you have retirement, starting your own business AND having to get a new computer\/PDA it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a bit much. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m glad I have a tendency to make hard copies or I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be up the creek without a paddle. <\/p>\n
So, I make a trip to the Apple store in Charlotte on Sunday and discover the world of MACS – coming home with a MacBook and an Iphone. <\/p>\n
Well, well, well. These things have some remarkable features. I am a gadget kind of person so everything different is like a new toy to me. <\/p>\n
This is my first reflection being processed on this computer and I am finding it easy to use and not so bad a learning curve after all. Never mind that it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s taking awhile to get my address book in order…not to mention my calendar reconstruction. <\/p>\n
My wish for you today is that you never lose your calendar. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s an humbling experience. Remember to always make hard copy backups if you are a computer carrying card member like me.<\/p>\n
