{"id":381,"date":"2007-08-21T06:48:59","date_gmt":"2007-08-21T10:48:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=381"},"modified":"2007-08-21T06:49:58","modified_gmt":"2007-08-21T10:49:58","slug":"i-hit-rock-bottom-on-saturday-before-taking-charlotte-by-horse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=381","title":{"rendered":"I Hit Rock Bottom on Saturday Before Taking Charlotte      by Horse!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been years since I went to the city of Charlotte, NC.<span>  <\/span>A friend invited me to go with him to see <strong><em>Lion King<\/em><\/strong> at the Blumenthal Theatre downtown.<span>  <\/span>He got the tickets months ago, the day they went on sale.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><!--more-->We left at three for the eight o\u00e2\u20ac\u2122clock show.<span>  <\/span>Since I was driving and neither of us were very familiar with the area and I was driving, I wanted to make sure we had plenty of time to find the place and get a bite before the show.<\/p>\n<p>Yahoo directions took me right to it and we were there by five, parked, and walking the streets of Charlotte.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t remember it being as nice a place downtown as it was.<span>  <\/span>We maneuvered our way through some of the streets before we decided it was time for dinner.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I had done my research about restaurants downtown and we visited many of their storefront menus before deciding to hit rock bottom \u00e2\u20ac\u201c and I do mean literally.<span>  <\/span>We decided to eat at a restaurant by that name\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6The Rock Bottom Restaurant. The menu was great and the food was even better.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">We finished around 6:45 and out the door we went.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It was a little early to get to the theatre so we walked some.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Could it be that I see a cowboy in downtown Charlotte?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d I said as we approached a cowboy hat and boots clad man.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He was there with his horse and had a carriage rig attached.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Now my friend had never been on a carriage ride before and I knew it.<span>  <\/span>We had time and I said \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s do something crazy\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.ride around Charlotte in a carriage!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">We did just that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have any idea Charlotte had such lovely homes so close to downtown. It was an eye-opening experience\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6a great way to see other parts of the city, and it didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t hurt that a cowboy was showing us around.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">You probably know how much I like to hang around cowboys.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">We got back in time to get to our <strong><em>Lion King<\/em><\/strong> seats and see a magnificent play\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It was a memorable evening!<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><em>My wish for you today<\/em><\/strong> is that you savor moments in life and be as spontaneous as you will let your self be.<span>  <\/span>You may be in for a great time if you do.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p>~ Joellen<br \/>\n<\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been years since I went to the city of Charlotte, NC.
