{"id":373,"date":"2007-08-09T06:01:11","date_gmt":"2007-08-09T10:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=373"},"modified":"2007-08-09T06:01:32","modified_gmt":"2007-08-09T10:01:32","slug":"76-trombones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=373","title":{"rendered":"76 Trombones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I was reminded of that song &#8211; <strong>76 Trombones<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c in the <strong><em>Music Man<\/em><\/strong> from the early 60s yesterday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><!--more-->I was on the road just a bit going back and forth to lunch and gathering a few things for a report I am working on.<span>  <\/span>My car registered 108 degrees on the highway at one point.<\/p>\n<p>What was I thinking even getting out in that?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I could have gotten them to fax me that info and avoided the heat.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">While I was out that evening I saw the high school band practicing.<span>  <\/span>I just do not know how bands, football players, road workers, construction workers, etc. handle this heat.<span>  <\/span>I do know this; they MUST be taking LOTS of water breaks and, in some cases, salt tablets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">My hat is off to those who must be out in this weather.
