{"id":361,"date":"2007-07-25T08:17:32","date_gmt":"2007-07-25T12:17:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=361"},"modified":"2007-07-25T08:18:03","modified_gmt":"2007-07-25T12:18:03","slug":"let-the-celebrations-begin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=361","title":{"rendered":"Let the Celebrations Begin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s birthday time.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">With my family and friends it means a month or more long of celebrating, dinners, meeting for drinks, etc.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Actually I favor this kind of spread out celebration \u00e2\u20ac\u201c especially if has to do with MY birthday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">My first card came in the mail over two weeks ago.<span>  <\/span>It was from someone who was anxious to send it because it was picked specifically for me and it was too funny to wait.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Then a friend shared a book with me because she would not be around during my birthday.<span>  <\/span>It was another FUNNY Potato Queen book\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6one side was a marriage guide, the other a divorce guide.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Humh!<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Then, because I thought I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be out of town, a bunch of us singles gathered for drinks and dinner at Wild Wings\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6one of my favorite places.<span>  <\/span>There was another set of extremely funny cards\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6and then a sweet one as well\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6plus lots of fun moments during the evening.<span>  <\/span><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know about you, but I really like to get an assortment of cards.<span>  <\/span>I ere on the side of funny, but sweet and kind cards touch my heart in a different place, too. <span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">At this point, things are not as important to receive as people are to visit with\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6so I am happy right now.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Today my sister, mother, son, nephew and sister-in-law meet for a birthday lunch of sorts\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6at least with some of them.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Then it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the actual birthday and I go to a wine tasting and dinner party with other friends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Who knew birthdays could be so much fun when you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re 56?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you take every chance you can to celebrate life.<span>  <\/span>It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not the presents that count\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the presence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">~ Joellen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s birthday time.
