{"id":350,"date":"2007-07-12T00:45:49","date_gmt":"2007-07-12T04:45:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=350"},"modified":"2007-07-12T00:46:15","modified_gmt":"2007-07-12T04:46:15","slug":"i-could-have-danced-or-talked-all-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=350","title":{"rendered":"I Could Have Danced (or Talked) all Night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I had late night visitors last night.<span>  <\/span>Actually, they came by around 8:30 p.m. and left after midnight.<span>  <\/span><!--more-->We could have talked longer but they had appointments early the next morning and I scheduled an early morning walk at seven a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Kathy, one of the two visitors, is a friend who sang in choir at a church I attended.<span>   <\/span>I keep in touch with her on and off through e-mail.<span>  <\/span>Greg was the choir director at that church.<span>  <\/span>He moved to another city and is back to visit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It was great to see Greg.<span>  <\/span>He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s always the same level headed guy who is just trying to find his next path down the road of life. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s matured well and still has a zest for life that hasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seemed to let up.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s always good to see friends you haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seen for awhile.<span>  <\/span>It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been a little over a year now since we last caught up.<span>  <\/span>He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s moved from one part of the country to another.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">When you recall what has happened over a year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s amazing to think about all you have accomplished. <span> <\/span>I suspect, if you took a look on a monthly basis, it would be amazing to recall what has actually happened over that period of time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It was great to hear what Greg had been doing and he seemed to appreciate all the things I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been involved in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you take the opportunity to visit with friends you haven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t seen in awhile.<span>  <\/span>Do your share of talking, but make sure you listen, too.<span>  <\/span>You may be amazed what has happened with them, and it will also be an opportunity to recall all the things that have happened with you.<span>  <\/span>Be thankful for both and find the blessings in each.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">~ Joellen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had late night visitors last night.
