{"id":348,"date":"2007-07-10T15:48:25","date_gmt":"2007-07-10T19:48:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=348"},"modified":"2007-07-11T04:41:00","modified_gmt":"2007-07-11T08:41:00","slug":"one-man%e2%80%99s-trash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=348","title":{"rendered":"One Man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Trash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00e2\u20ac\u0153One man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s trash is another man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s treasure\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is a common saying among us.<\/p>\n<p>Since I believe in recycling whenever possible, it is not uncommon for me <!--more-->to make a trip ever so often to <em>Sharing God\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Love<\/em>, <em>Goodwill<\/em>, or some other institution where I can donate things I will no longer use but that still have some life left in them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The other night, some friends invited my sweetheart and me over to take a look at some old guns.<span>  <\/span>It seems they had them for years and didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even know for sure if they were loaded.<span>  <\/span>They didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to touch them till we came over, and since my sweetheart is an expert at guns, they knew he would know how to manage them.<span>   <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">We got over there and determined they were a shotgun and a rifle.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">They wanted to get rid of them since the grandchildren were getting older and offered them\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6so I quickly accepted both.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">A little internet research identified them as guns that were made before serial numbers were required beginning in 1968.<span>  <\/span>They were in good shape and I hope to shoot at least one of them in cowboy action shooting after they are reconditioned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Yes, their \u00e2\u20ac\u0153trash\u00e2\u20ac\u009d became my treasure.<span>  <\/span>I will provide them a good home and take good care of them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you are willing to be the recipient of someone else\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s trash when it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s offered to you.<span>  <\/span>You may find a little pleasure and discover a great deal of history in such an unexpected treat!<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">~ Joellen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153One man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s trash is another man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s treasure\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is a common saying among us.
