{"id":324,"date":"2007-06-19T04:35:47","date_gmt":"2007-06-19T04:35:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=324"},"modified":"2007-06-19T08:00:18","modified_gmt":"2007-06-19T08:00:18","slug":"jonah-and-the-whale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=324","title":{"rendered":"Jonah and the Whale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Ever take your car through one of those car washes where you stay in the car and it is placed on a track where it goes through different wash cycles?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><!--more-->I went through one between <st1:city w:st=\"on\">Lexington<\/st1:city> and <st1:city w:st=\"on\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\">Columbia<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> yesterday morning.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">As I put it in neutral I was talking to my sister on the cell and watching the process at the same time.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">All of a sudden I think I felt like Jonah when he was in the whale\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6except with me, I was surrounded in something that kept me dry.<span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I quickly got off the phone and just watched.<span>  <\/span>First there was LOTS of water.<span>  <\/span>Then, these green tentacles came at me from all sides\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6sort of like I suspect the stomach does when it begins to process things\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6either in a whale or in a person.<span>  <\/span><span>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Afterwards, there was a blue, yellow and red foamy substance that made the whole car look like it was a slimy mess\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.I won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t begin to suspect what that might look like in the digestive process\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6but was real glad I was watching from the inside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">After all that, lots more water and then it was time to dry off with the wind and sunshine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Whew\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6we made it through and things were almost brand spanking new!<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Once or twice in my car I thought of that experience as going through the birth process.<span>  <\/span>Not sure where my mind was coming from when this went on\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6but it did make me think of the STRANGEST things.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you take an ordinary thing and see if you can experience it in a different way.<span>  <\/span>There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s no harm in that at all and it certainly could cause you to smile over something that, before, was pretty uneventful!<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">~ Joellen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ever take your car through one of those car washes where you stay in the car and it is placed on a track where it goes through different wash cycles?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[16,27],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-324","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-life-events","category-living-life-to-the-fullest"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/324","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=324"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/324\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=324"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=324"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=324"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
