{"id":269,"date":"2007-05-18T03:20:51","date_gmt":"2007-05-18T03:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=269"},"modified":"2007-06-02T13:23:44","modified_gmt":"2007-06-02T13:23:44","slug":"you-are-my-sunshine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reflectionsfromacountrygirl.com\/?p=269","title":{"rendered":"You Are My Sunshine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know you know the song \u00e2\u20ac\u0153<strong>You Are My Sunshine<\/strong>.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a children\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s song you probably sang when you were younger.  <\/p>\n<p>So who is your sunshine? <\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Now if you have a family living in the same house with you, you probably would say it is one of them&#8230;maybe a spouse, a child, an elderly parent&#8230;even a small baby.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re single&#8230;that may be a bit more of a challenge if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re not dating anyone.  Perhaps your Dad calls you his sunshine or at least you may have a fond memory of that interaction between you and one of your parents. <\/p>\n<p>Ok, if not, then maybe it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a friend or other relative.  Maybe you volunteer with older adults or children and you have a class full of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153sunshines.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Everyone ought to have at least one sunshine in their life.<\/p>\n<p>I still sing that song on occasion&#8230;often early in the morning when my sweetheart occasionally calls before he goes to work.  <\/p>\n<p>So how would you describe the sunshine of your life?  <\/p>\n<p>For most of us, that would be someone who makes us excited about getting up in the morning&#8230;someone who makes us feel like it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a bright and sunny day when it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cloudy and rainy&#8230;someone who perks us up when we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re down&#8230;someone we can talk to about anything and feel better about it after the conversation.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you have many \u00e2\u20ac\u0153sunshines\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in your life and that you are able to be a ray of sunshine in someone else\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s life.  We can all use a bit more of that kind of glowing spirit in our lives.
