Well, not actually into the house but, they found their home right outside my patio door.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I had not invited them to move in but, since she is expecting soon, they felt obligated to find a proper place quickly and decided on my back patio as their new home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Because I have squirrels, I do not put live plants in my planters. My squirrels are life long residents and they love to eat the flowers from the pots I used to carefully plant in.  Now, as I have become wiser, and since I love having the squirrels play in my yard, I simply use artificial flowers and change them during each major season.  I keep the bird bath and a little container on the porch full of fresh water so they have enough to drink from.  Yes, my squirrels love living in the trees in my yard.  I even had a white squirrel once.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The new family that moved in is a family of birds, nesting in one of my planters.  They are busily adding straw and other small pieces of material deep inside the deep planter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Yes, they will soon have little mouths to feed and will need a safe place to keep their family.  I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t wait to see the babies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I do have one problem, though.  I have a neighbor\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cat that LOVES to hang out on my back porch.  She, almost daily, meets me on the back porch after work for a few minutes of petting and stays there talking to me while I cook supper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Now that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a problem.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">This cat is a natural born hunter and chases the squirrels up the tree all the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I suspect she will think of the little birds as something to pounce on as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">What do I do?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I think I will revert my time with the cat to the front porch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t move the bird nester so I must move the cat\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6IF I can\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6and let nature take its course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Ah, the things we do for family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong>My wish for you today<\/strong> is that you enjoy your family, whoever they may be, to the fullest and do all you can to help them coexist in a peaceful environment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">~ Joellen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday morning I opened the blinds only to discover that a new family has moved in with me.
